Natural Cholesterol Management

Balance your cholesterol naturally without dangerous drugs. Below is an e-mail I recently recieved:

John,
I am sending this as for your information and to say thanks. In July of this year I went for a physical and to get some blood work. The results were that I needed to lose a little weight and my labs showed five items “OUT OF RANGE”
After getting these results I happened to be at one of your lectures and was impressed with the information you shared. I ordered the book on the low glycemic diet and also some suppliments. September the first I started to impliment your suggestions.
I now ONLY drink pure water fortified with X2O.
I began the low glycemic diet. Take Red Yeast Rice, Recomposize, M2000, and
Soil Based Organisms

Since Sept 1 to Oct 23 I have lost 14 pounds and ALL my labs are in the normal range.

The lab changes are:

  July 15 Oct 23
Triglycerides
109 57
Cholesterol, Total
209 164
LDL-Cholesterol
145 108
Chol/HDLC ratio
5.0 3.6
Phospate
2.3 (low) 2.8
Uric acid

8.4 7.0
Glucose
44 (low) 98
The Dr. said I don’t know what you did, but it sure is working. I wish a lot of my 15 year old patients
had this lab. ( I’m 64)
Thanks so much for your help, Ricky Greer

Lower Cholesterol - without drugs - and danger of statins!

Cholesterol Report - or how to lower your levels with diet exercise and natural suplements and avoid dangerous drug side effects !! ---------------------------------------------

Over the last several months I have talked to and met many people who have Cholesterol-concerns .

So lets start with a few little known facts - up until very recent history levels at 300 or below were considered normal and healthy . Healthy levels are from 175 to 275 .

What happened - simply the drug companies were not selling enough statin drugs - so the levels were lowered , and lowered several times - until they were lowered into the danger zones .

First why do we take cholesterol lowering drugs - do the drugs satisfy a dietary deficiency ? No .

No one on the planet is drug deficient . The Medical community and Television campaigns have done a wonderful job of convincing us that cholesterol is dangerous and that we need their drugs - High Cholesterol disease was invented by the drug companies .

Cholesterol levels can be addressed from a natural stand point , simple diet changes and exercise can do wonders - more later first here is some interesting info

Here is some info from Kimberley Balas Clinicians Corner --

Here are a few biochemical facts :

* The liver does not use fats , saturated or otherwise to make cholesterol.

* The liver does not make LDL (low density lipoproteins ) ,it makes VLDL ( very low density proteins ).

* VLDL is converted to LDL through triglyceride loss.

* VLDL levels and LDL levels are totally unrelated

The European Heart Journal published a three year study of 11,500 patients. This study showed that patients with low cholesterol experienced

* Increases in lung cancer

* Increase in other cancers

* Higher risk of cardiac death

* Erectile dysfunction and infertility

* Loss of memory ( source : European heart journal 1997 , 18,52-59)

A Swedish researcher found that

* Individuals with low cholesterol suffer from frequent and severe infections.

* Individuals with high cholesterol had a lower mortality rate than the average population . source:Uffe Ravnskov,MDPHF independent researcher )

A Study performed by the university of San diego School of Medicine showed

* High cholesterol can be preventive against environmental toxins rather than harmful.

* Low cholesterol is risk factor for heart arrhythmias

* High cholesterol readings are associated with protection from nuerotoxins and cancer protection.

From JAMA In a 30 year follow up to the Framigham study which helped link cholesterol and heart disease in the first place , The Journal of the American Medical association reported :

* There is no correlation between high cholesterol and mortality , but a correlation between low cholersertol and mortality . ( lower cholesterol - higher death rate ? )

* Death rates from cardiovascular disease increased 14 percent for every 1 mg/dl drop in total cholesterol per year

Source : Anderson KM. Cholesterol and Mortality, 30 years of follow up from the Framington study . JAMA 1987 Apr 24;257(16)2176-80

The Journal of Cardiac Failure published a paper on low cholesterol. The study was an analyse of 1,134 patients with heart disease. The conclusions:

* Low cholesterol was associated with worse outcomes in heart patients and impaired survival rates .

* Elevated cholesterol was not associated with hypertension, diabetes or coronary heart disease . ( source :Horwich TB.Et.al. Low serum levels Total cholesterol is Associated with Marked increase in mortality rates in Advanced heart failure. J card. fail.2002 aug;8(4);216-214)

A Japanese study found that death rates from coronary heart disease went down as cholesterol levels went up . (source:Okayama A.,Marmat MG int. J Epedemiol Dec1993)

The following was reported in the journal Arteriosclerosis:

* Despite successful attempts to lower cholesterol with statin drugs, the death rate from heart disease has not changed in 75 years and mortality from heart disease is more than double what it was in 1996 (Source:Uri Goldbourt. Artiosclerois Vol 10 No 4 july /aug )

The truth is that oxidative stress and inflammation are the root cause of elevated LDL . In the publication Circulation, the following are reported:

* A group consuming the American diet had lower antioxidant levels versus those consuming the Mediterranean diet which had increased antioxidant levels . ( as a side note - lower is not good !)

* Those consuming the Mediterranean diet had one third the rate of heart attacks that those consuming the American diet had . ( source:Leon study,Circulation,1999,99.pg779

Here's another study of 11,500 patients. It showed that:

*The risk of death in the low cholesterol group(160mg/dlandbelow)was 2.27 times higher than those with high cholesterol.

* Most common cause of death in low cholesterol patients was cancer.(source: Europeqan heart journal 1997 18,52-59)

and from the book The French Paradox -- High levels of the stress hormone cortisol along with high insulin levels creates the metabolic state that creates athersclerotic development.

The French Paradox by Hugh Tunstall-Pedoe 1978

Now if you made it this far - you are probably wondering why someone would take drugs - well we live in a society that says -- SAY NO TO DRUGS ! - BUT THE TRUTH is Americans by enlarge take their doctors advise and start taking drugs without looking into natural alternatives - such as diet changes , exercise and digestive enzymes. .

Did you know that The right kind of enzymes break up and naturally dissolve cholesterol and uric acid crystal deposits ? More later .

Here are the facts on stain drugs - think carefully before taking !!

* Statins are known carcinogens in experimental animals in doses approximate to those given to patients. ( cancer causing agents )

* Statins increase risk of polyneurpthay fourteen times

* Statins deplete CoQo10 and lower antioxidant levels

* Statins can cause liver dysfunction

* Statins can cause muscle pain

* Statins are associated with memory losss, lack of concentration and global amnesia .

* Statins have been known to cause insomnia, weakness and fatigue.

* Satins cause difficulty in managing diabetes because they raise insulin levels

* Total annual sales of statins - $14 billion .

Here's the scoop - cut out dairy products - cut out carbonated beverages - cut down on white sugar -white flour - white milk - and add to your diet more fresh fruits and vegetables - get some exercise - a good brisk walk 3 times per week , more if you can .

Add to you diet a good enzyme complex such as Food Enzymes and drink plenty of good water with a pH of 9 or higher .

You can lower your cholesterol naturally and safely - yes it will take some work but it can be done .
